Carla K. Binswanger, CPO

Carla's experience as an associate editor at Newsweek magazine has proven an ideal foundation for her position as principal of Plan A.

Her training and perspective as a journalist give her the ability as a professional organizer to listen carefully to each client, distill and clarify their needs, and find solutions that work for them. She asks the right questions. She sees the big picture. She replaces chaos with control. With sensitivity and integrity, Carla helps people visualize new approaches, divide them into manageable steps, implement them in ways that work for them, and maintain them with a focus on flexibility.

Carla is a native of Manhattan, a New Englander by marriage, and the mother of two very well-organized children.

Rose McDermott
Director of Business & Finance

Rose has an extensive background in creating & maintaining business and financial systems. She has worked in a multitude of environments from client service to academia. Her can-do attitude and ability to self educate when seeking the best software, hardware or other infrastructure sets her apart. Her people skills are second to none. She has intuitive business acumen and is highly motivated and energetic. Her ability to prioritize and multitask allows her to achieve project goals and serve clients well.

Rose is an avid softball and volleyball player, who lives outside of Boston with her husband and their two children.

Heidi Daitch
Professional Organizer

Heidi has more than 20 years of marketing and business experience. She started out in high-tech as a software engineer and quickly moved into product management and marketing helping companies efficiently define, market and sell products and solutions. Building on her business experience, she formed and ran a successful consulting company focused on helping businesses improve the way they operate.

As a busy working mother, Heidi quickly discovered that an organized home and work place was critical to successfully juggling family and work demands. Through professional organizing, Heidi has developed and shared organizing solutions for common home and work challenges like eliminating household paper clutter, designing functional clutter-free mudrooms and creating efficient customer communication systems.

Heidi loves to play tennis, spend time with her family and is an avid sports fan. She actively participates on an environmental taskforce to help create eco-friendly homes.

Diane Opelt
Designer

Before following her dream to be a designer, Diane’s background included various roles in broadcast sales and management including VP/ Manager of Katz Radio in Boston. For twelve years, Diane ran her own company where she offered freelance support services to Advertising Agencies, PR Firms and Broadcast clients.

This strong record of innovative achievement and ability to connect with customers, and a keen eye for style, enable her to formulate and orchestrate design concepts that are aesthetic, appropriate and functional for our residential and commercial customers. Whether you are renovating a room, a home, a workspace, or restaurant, Diane can take you through every step of the process from floor plans to furnishings and fixtures!

When she is not working with the Plan A team, Diane is more than likely planning a dinner menu, redesigning her garden, or spending time with her family and friends. Born in Upstate New York, Diane has spent the last 21 years in Boston.
