When Carla launched Plan A in 2005, it was after years of experience as a writer and editor Newsweek magazine, and nearly a dozen moves with her TV-journalist husband and their
two children.
Her perspective as a journalist (and as her family's relocation manager) led seamlessly to her new career as professional organizer, and informed her ability to listen carefully to each client, distill and clarify their needs, and find solutions that would work for them.
One of the organizing challenges she saw several of her clients facing mirrored one that she, too, faced in her own life: How to tame the massive piles of paperwork that come with having a child with special needs. So she joined forces with Rose, and spent months developing a solution. The result: last spring they launched Organized4Kids.com and their first product,"My IEP ToolKit:
The Complete Organizer for Your Child's Individualized Education Plan," which helps parents tame the paperwork and advocate for their children.
While Carla is stepping back from the helm of Plan A to focus on this new venture, she will continue to serve as an active member of Plan A's organizing and design team, helping our clients reclaim space, regain control, and transform their lives.
